New Era

Featured In-Class Exploration

Exercise 3: Revolving Sign - Students create an animating web poster.

A simple moving sign inspired by Jenny Holzer’s work who utilizes large displays of illuminated sign work. New Era takes the aesthetic of old computer UI and uses that to convey the message of the new pressure to keep up with technological development.

Recollection

Final Project

Recollection is an interactive experience inviting viewers to write a sentence from their own memory, good or bad, and store it on a canvas containing “memory bubbles”. This project hopes to feel meditative as the user is able to release any memory and know they won’t forget it. Inspired by minimalistic design, Recollection is meant to not be overwhelming.
