My work focuses on ordinary places and overlooked moments, often connecting photography with themes of memory, history, and technology. I enjoy experimenting with new processes that expand what a photograph can become while keeping the original image at the center of the work.

Repeated Interpretation: AI x Photography

This project explores what happens when artificial intelligence repeatedly reinterprets a single photograph. Beginning with my own black-and-white images, I asked an AI image model to simply "remake this image." Each new output became the input for the next generation, creating approximately fifty iterations for every photograph. Rather than directing every outcome, I intentionally gave the AI minimal instructions, allowing it to decide what details to preserve, alter, or forget over time. During the process, I discovered that small prompt changes, such as adding "maintain the brightness", significantly influenced how the images evolved. The resulting GIFs visualize a collaboration between photographer and machine. They reveal how an image can gradually transform while remaining connected to its original composition, raising questions about authorship, memory, and the role of AI in the creative process.
