Ava Tang

Ava Tang is an aspiring creative artist who engages her work with the themes of cognitive storytelling and surrealism. She is 17, living in Los Angeles, California, and a rising senior at Immaculate Heart High School. She is interested in studying Digital Media Art and UX/UI design in college. She hopes to get the opportunity to study abroad in Japan.

She loves concerts, traveling, photography, trying new matcha spots, and spending time with family and friends. She could not live without her headphones for music and watching Coming of Age films. And one day, she hopes to live in a cute Art Deco brick apartment in NY!

Final Project: Version_Of

An experimental video of how AI reinterprets my identity through distortion, glitch, and aesthetic fragmentation. The project aims to expose the distance between how we present ourselves and how we’re reconstructed by systems we can’t control, specifically by letting AI interpret me. I intended to explore how AI sees me based on fragments I provided, and use that process to reflect on the blurry space between performance, perception, and self-discovery.
