AI & Art Student
Leila Maleki
Leila Maleki (she/her) is a current Senior attending Chino High School, interested in how leveraging AI can aid biomimetic physical systems for trained Human Interaction, and how the field of AI and Robotics can intersect with Art and Social Science to improve human systems and bridge the gap between machinery, humanity, and artistry. When she’s not building aerial systems or experimenting with object detection robotics models as an ISEF finalist, she is writing and performing poetry as a Youngarts 2025 winner, playing the piano, teaching students, or painting with her two birds. Most of all, she especially loves trying out local Matcha shops in LA!
Final Project: We Are Infinite // Humanity’s Mosaic
Centering around the quote, “You are a mosaic of everyone you have ever known, and everything you have ever experienced”, We Are Infinite // Humanity’s Mosaic delves around the fragments that make us who we are. Like fragments, shattered and rebuilt, this same parallel is what makes humanity ‘human’. Taking inspiration from coming of age films, specifically Perks of a Wallflower and the ending scene speaking of youth and time summarizing into a singular statement: “We Are Infinite”, this video is a collaboration between human writing, vision, and production to generative AI, to re-examine the parallels between technology and humanity: all in the same, and all ever-evolving. We Are Infinite // Humanity’s Mosaic is a mesh of spoken word, real particle physics models, virtual dialogue, and generative video.
